Pakistan Parliament adopts resolution, blames India for tensions along LoC

Islamabad: Amid a spurt in tensions over incidents along the Line of Control, the National Assembly of Pakistan on Tuesday adopted an anti-India resolution condemning aggression by Indian forces.

According to reports, Pakistan has now put the blame on India for the cross border firings on LoC.

This comes a few hours latter Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif called for a 'new beginning' in ties with India so that all outstanding issues can be settled in a friendly manner.

"Let us make a new beginning. Let us sit together to resolve all outstanding issues in a friendly manner and in a peaceful atmosphere," Sharif had said in a message.

Clashes along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir since last month have increased tensions between the two countries.

Recently, five Indian soldiers in the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir were killed in an attack along the LoC.

About 20 heavily armed terrorists along with soldiers from the Pakistani Army crossed the cease-fire line and killed the Indian soldiers.

However, Pakistan has denied that its soldiers have not killed any Indian troops.

While blaming India for aggression along the border, a Pakistani military official even said Indian troops fired without any provocation
